A few hours ago I noticed what felt like a cool breeze on my arms and legs. What makes that unusual is that I am inside, and that I haven't felt that sensation in a long, long time.
On closer inspection, my callus, as many morg's call it, is retreating. I have referred to it as my second skin, or as having been buttered or waxed (leaving the wax on), or being smothered and covered. Whatever you call it, I am thrilled to see and feel my real skin again.
